LynBDesigns Springtime Duo

Hey everyone! Tonight I have for you the two polishes from LynBDesigns Springtime Duo. I received these polishes to review. They are a perfect way to start off spring (even with all the snow everyone seems to be getting)

Let's get right to the pictures. The first picture is labeled with how I did each nail. It will be the same for each photo on this post.

Pinkie finger is 2 coats of Julep Carrie and 1 coat of LynBDesign's Eggs in a Basket.
Ring finger is 2 coats Sinful Colors Mint Apple and 1 coat of LynBDesign's Flutter Byes.
Middle finger is 2 coats of Eggs in a Basket - no undies.
Pointer finger is 2 coats of Flutter Byes - no undies.

I got so many compliments wearing these polishes. I love them! The application was amazing. I did not have to fish around for glitters they came out on their own and applied very nicely. I think you can get away doing multiple coats with no undies if you wanted. I personally like these polishes over an undie. I think it really makes them pop. Next time I will put 2 coats of Eggs in a Basket over 1 coat of Julep Carrie. I am really pleased with this duo and it does scream spring doesn't it?

You can find these polishes as well as many other creations she has on her etsy shop here
Also make sure to follow her on Facebook because she does have sales from time to time that you won't want to miss out on LynBDesign's Facebook Page.

Lastly she is currently running a sale until 4/14/13.

Now through Sunday use the code THANKYOU to get 40% off your entire order.

For the Month of April use the code FREESHIP40 to get free shipping on any orders 40 dollars and over. This code is only valid for domestic orders.

*These products were sent to me for my honest review.

Swatch and Review - Delush Polish

Alright guys this is going to be a long post! I was sent 3 polishes from Delush Polish to review for you guys. I already reviewed one of them which can be seen on this post. The other two polishes I have for you today are Lady Sybiling and Forever Young. Just a recap this is Delush's first collection and it is based on the show Downton Abbey.

First I just want to show you the cute packaging the polishes came in!

(Forever Young, Lord Earl Grey, Lady Sybiling)

Cute right?

Ok first polish up is Lady Sybiling - below is a description from Delush's Facebook page.

Introducing Lady Sybiling (Inspired by Lady Sybil Crawley)

Sybil is the youngest Crawley sibling, (see what I did there ;) she is passionate and strong willed who early on displayed her desire to break free from the social restrictions her status had bestowed upon her, so much so that she eventually fell in love with an Irishman and moved to Ireland! Inspired by the Shamrock, the symbol for Ireland, this gorgeous emerald green base with sparks of multifaceted gold shapes represent her spark. If you look closely, tiny black flecks swim amongst the teal diamonds, this represents her unfortunate and untimely demise :( She is a character I certainly miss!

I have to say that I love this color! It is a gorgeous color! I love the flecks of glitter in it! This was two coats and topped with HK Girl Top Coat. I had no problems applying this polish! The glitter was easy to apply and I did not have to fish around for it or place the glitter. Impressed!

Next I have for you Forever Young again description from Delush Polish's facebook page is below

Introducing "Forever Young" (Inspired by Matthew Crawley)

Matthew was taken from the show unexpectedly but will be forever remembered. He not only stole Mary's heart but he also stole ours with his sincerity and his down to earth nature. Forever Young features a beautiful creamy white base with iridescent shimmer and floating red hearts ♥

This is three coats - no undies. It is pretty but I feel that it is one you would want to wear with undies. I was surprised by the heart glitter so I added it as an accent nail. Not too many came out as I was applying it.

Here is one coat of Forever Young over an existing manicure I had on Ruby White Tips Crazy 88. I think it really showcases Forever Young much better over a dark undie. Again I was able to fish out a heart glitter and did it on the accent nail. I love that the look of Forever Young can easily be changed just by applying a different under color.

Overall - I am very impressed by these polishes. My favorite is still Lord Earl Grey. As many of you have probably read there was an unpleasant odor to some of the polishes - two of mine had it. I did contact Adrianna about it and I am just blown away by the response. Here is what she posted below:

I have a quick public service announcement to make and I'm sure you will be very happy with this decision ;)

After much thought and because I am such a perfectionist, I've decided to take a hit, cost wise and to completely get rid of the old base. Originally I was going to phase it out but that was no longer an option for me. So come tomorrow for the launch EVERY SINGLE customer can be rest assured that the polishes they are buying are with the NEW base. Therefore the old base will not be released to the public.

I care about my customers and even the smallest thing such as a slightly stronger odor bothers me. I don't want this putting off my customers when the polish's formula, application and creative blend of glitter and pigment have been refined to perfection. Although all the reviews I've received so far have been amazing, I do want to start my business off right with no worries and having my customers be 100% happy with the product they are buying is top priority to me.

So again, Delush Polish will launch TOMORROW at 8pm EST and all polishes will feature the NEW base.

Thank you for reading ♥
Adrianna
xoxo

Talk about amazing! So no worries if you order from her! She is correcting the issue. This alone shows that she cares about her products and I will definitely be buying from her!

I wanted to close out this post with something else I have not seen done before. With every order you will get a scratch off card that can include a discount, free polishes etc. I love this idea! I did not win this time, but it's all part of the fun!

Last note - Delush Polish is opening shop TONIGHT!!!! Check out the details below!

Thank you guys so much for sticking around for the whole post! I know it was a long one!

Swatch and Review - Delush Polish

Hey guys!

Sorry I have been MIA lately. I haven't been feeling well because of my wisdom teeth and went into the dentist and am scheduled to have them removed in a little over a week. I also just got done throwing a successful baby shower for my sister in law Mariah. That took a lot of time. I am back and ready to show you some pretties!

Tonight I have for you Delush Polish. This is a new upcoming Indie brand. She opens up shop On 3/14/13. So on Thursday!!! I have a total of three polishes to show you but I will break it up into separate posts.

The first collection is based off the show Downton Abbey. I personally have not seen this show! I might just add it to my watch list and check it out.

Here is a description on the polish from Delush Polish

Introducing Lord Earl Grey (Inspired by Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham)

Robert is often at times a quiet man and prefers to stay out of the lime light unlike some of the other Crawleys, however every so often he reveals himself to be rather passionate. His character inspired this dark rich grey-green polish that goes on like a dream with only two coats!

I have to say that I love this polish! It was almost a one coater! I had very minimal VNL so I added one more thin coat to even it out. The application was very easy and spot on. I am a fan of the color and can see myself wearing it again! Out of the three I have to show you, this is my favorite!!!

Here are some details below, pictures of the entire collection and the cost of the polishes! I will be posting tomorrow on another creation by Delush Polish!

Daily Lacquer - The Green Fairy

I want to apologize for the wait on this swatch and review. I had set it up for what I thought a scheduled posting and for some reason it did not post. So here it is!

I received 2 mini polishes from Daily Lacquers from the All You Need is Love Collection. Which if you haven't figured out is inspired by Moulin Rouge! One of my favorite movies!

Earlier this week I posted about Satine which you can view here. The polish I have for you tonight is The Green Fairy, this polish is the one that surprised me the most out of the two. I really thought this polish would not work well with my skin tone. Well I was wrong - I was blown away on how amazing this polish looked on! This ended up being my favorite out of the two. The best way I can describe The Green Fairy is green married with gold. It has amazing gold flecks of glitter which brings out the gold in this polish.

This is the mini bottle don't worry your bottle will look like the ones pictured above!

In pictures this kind of throws a yellow tint to where it almost looks like a soft yellow polish but I promise it is green! I applied three light coats and probably would have been fine with just two coats. I had no problems with this polish and it was extremely easy to work with. I topped this off with HK Girl top coat.

If you are interested in snagging your own bottle of The Green Fairy from Daily Lacquer you can visit her etsy shop here! Also for future release of polishes and shop updates you can always visit her Facebook page.

Daily Lacquer - Satine

So I am really excited to bring you a swatch and review tonight! The lovely Maggy sent me two of her polishes to show you guys. This is from the "All You Need Is Love" collection. The name might sound familiar well that's because this is inspired by the movie Moulin Rouge. I have to say - I love this movie!!! So much so I had to order it last week on Amazon because my copy seems to be missing. I watched it last night!!

All You Need Is Love Collection
I love her bottles!!! I think it adds a unique touch!

Tonight I have for you Satine. Satine is packed full of holographic goodness! It's also got some nice holographic diamond shapes in there!   I was really excited to see this one!
Let's get on with the pictures shall we?

I was sent a mini bottle so don't worry guys this is now how it will come!

I did not put a top coat on for fear it would dim the holographic look. This polish was so easy to apply and was full coverage in 3 thin coats. I got at least 1 or 2 diamonds per nail. I am not a picky person and actually like how random they are placed but if you are not like me you might have to place the diamonds to where you want them. So I left the diamond pieces where they were laid on the nail. I tried really hard to capture the beauty this polish brings but this was the best I could do - in Minnesota we haven't had much sunlight.

Overall I am very pleased with this polish and cannot wait to be purchasing it after my no buy I am currently involved in.

If you are interested in this polish you can visit Daily Lacquer's Etsy shop here. She has this polish available on it's own or in the entire collection.

I cannot wait to show you guys the next polish tomorrow! Any guess on which one it is?

Indie Review - IDMNT Panic Attack

So last week I received a beautiful polish to review from I'm Doing My Nails Today (IDMNT). This baby is called panic attack. When I got it in the mail I was so excited that I received this particular polish because I absolutely love the combo of pink and brown together. This has small glitter as well as slightly larger pink and brown glitters in it.

Let's get to the fun stuff!

Gorgeous! I Really love the look and I think it's just the right amount of sparkle without being too much!

I put on Pure Ice Cherish under Panic Attack. I used 2 coats of Panic Attack and I think it was the perfect amount. I did not have to dig around for glitters and it went on pretty evenly. The application of the polish was very easy! I am sure you could wear this alone, but I prefer the look of it on top of another color. I topped it off with HK Girl super shiny and fast drying top coat.

You can pick this baby up at I'm Doing My Nails Today's Etsy Shop
IDMNT has mini size bottles for 3.99 and full size bottles for 5.99. Panic Attack is still in her shop along with many other colors!
You can also visit IDMNT on Facebook Here

Cult Nails - Flushed

So today I have for you Cult Nails Flushed. This is an amazing color and it also happens to be my first Cult Polish!!! I have been eyeing this polish for a few weeks now. I was going to order the entire collection at the discounted rate but it happened to be at the wrong time - we went to Indiana for Thanksgiving and I just couldn't swing it. I do think I need to add the rest of the collection to my wish list though!

These pictures do not do this beauty any justice! Full coverage in 2 coats topped off with HK Girl top coat. This polish was extremely easy to use and it applied with no issues. Applied very evenly. I am sold on being a Cult Girl!

So there it is! Oh Mr. Polish Insomnia also made me a light box. I love the black background. Still playing around with what will give me the best results. I think photos have come a long way from when I started :)

LE Dollish Polish - Girls Rule, Boys Drool

Hello Everyone! Anyone have plans this weekend? This is the first weekend since October that my hubby is working 60 hrs so he only has Sunday off. Looks like I will be polishing, sewing, and possibly doing some holiday baking this weekend.

Moving on... Today I have for you Dollish Polish's Girls Rule, Boys Drool. I was one of the lucky gals to snag this limited edition polish - there was only 300 to go around.

This polish applied like a dream! I did not have to place any glitters anywhere and it was even! I am very happy with this polish. Instead of building it on it's own (I want to conserve this beauty) I put it over my Elevation Polish - Pic du Gar (Which I also won in a giveaway) I love how the dark purple really makes GRBD pop and come to life!

Here are the pictures!

As you can see you get a pretty even and strong amount of polish with just one coat. I am sure 2 coats maybe 3 coats would be needed for full coverage of just this polish alone.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Oh side note I am pretty sure I am going to participate in the Show Me Your Top Coats group's Holiday Challenge. So look forward to more nail art!
